For higher temperatures - slide into the PEGASUS R cavity. This graphite crucible fits into the high temperature furnace. It is suitable for radiation pyrometers with beam size 10mm or less. The cells contain 99.9999% pure metal giving a freeze or melt curve flat to ±0.01°C. The results, as seen by a suitable pyrometer give an uncertainty of better than ±0.1°C. Crucible may be removed and other cells substituted, allowing 1 piece of apparatus to work with all 5 cells |
