New Stirred Liquid Calibration Baths
We are pleased to confirm the launch of a new family of calibration baths that provide many new features that will be welcomed by calibration labs.
The new Orion range complements the successful Hydra Baths. The Orion offers a deeper calibration volume 470mm (18.5"), variable stirring speed, variable cooling power and advanced over and under temperature protection.
The extended depth is suitable for long LIG thermometers, extended length SPRTs and can accommodate large water Triple Point Cells.

Two Day Course in Southport
We are pleased to confirm the 2008 Isotech Training Course will take place on the 23rd to 24th September.
Day 1 is an instructor led presentation and asks "what is temperature?", then looks at the two types of calibration, equipment in use for industrial calibration and then secondary and primary laboratories. Day 2 consists of practical sessions in Isotech's calibration laboratories.

| Isotech News: I-cal EASY Updated April 2008 |
Automatic Calibration Software Updated
Our popular I-cal EASY automatic calibration software is regularly updated. If you are using a version prior to March 2008 it is worth updating to the latest version.
One new feature is the ability to print tables, resistance to temperature or voltage to temperature for RTDS and Thermocouples, learn how here.
The handbooks have also been updated to document the many new enhancements.
We also have increased support for third party instruments, contact the factory for further information.

Isotech Announces new microsKanner at NCSLi 2007
Last year at NCLSLi we introduced the microK Precision Thermometer which set new standards for accuracy, stability and versatility. This year at NCLSi the microSkanner makes its first public appearance.
The microsKanner allows the microK to be expanded to up to 92 channels, with no degradation in performance and with each channel accepting PRT, Thermocouple or Thermistor inputs.
The channels are all configured from either the microK touch screen or via RS232 control from the PC. You just plug a microsKanner in and immediately gain the benefit of additional channels making this the easiest channel expansion system of its type.
Last year we set new standards for thermometry bridges, this year we set the standard for scanners, an unmatched combination of ease of use, versatility and measurement performance. |

Uncertainties Lowered, Again!
We have continued to invest heavily in our UKAS calibration laboratories in terms of staffing, training, research and new procedures. As a result we are now able to finalise with UKAS a new schedule with lower uncertainties at the ITS-90 fixed points of Aluminium and Silver. The benefit being smaller uncertainties when we calibrate both ITS-90 fixed point cells and high temperature SPRT calibrations.
Our accredited uncertainties at these points are now smaller than the scope of other accredited laboratories and smaller than most National Measurement Institutes, (NMI) – second only to NIST.
Our schedule can be viewed here
If you need small uncertainties at high temperatures, compare our accreditation schedule with our competitors.

"At last - a single laboratory instrument for SPRTs, thermocouples and thermistors"

Isotech announces the arrival of microK, a world beating new instrument with accuracy and stability better than comparable instruments. A new measuring technique offers low noise and accuracies better than 0.4 parts per million - equivalent to about 0.0004°C.
The user interface is via a colour touch screen avoiding switches and dials to give greater reliability and ease of use.
Don't buy a new thermometer until you have seen this!
