Calibration Volume
The Hydra's have 300mm (30cm / 12 inch) immersion depth at a new affordable price. The "Supplementary Information for the ITS-90 states, "... immerse the thermometer from 15 to 20cm between -50°C and 50°C and from 20 to 27cm at 200°C..."
Yet until now financial constraints have forced some labs to use shallower baths. The Hydras break new ground in giving the necessary immersion depth at an unbeatable price.
Unlike simple square tank designs the Hydra uses parallel tube action to achieve outstanding temperature uniformity which means low calibration uncertainties. The round design eliminates "cold corners" and requires just 5L of liquid giving low filling costs and low cost of ownership.

Isotech Baths are designed for thermometers, have good immersion depth, low filling costs and give tiny calibration uncertainties.
Hydras are simple to use, include a PC Interface and Software, Independent Over Temperature Protection, a fast drain, safety overflow. Optional accessories include thermometer holders and devices to hold ITS-90 fixed point cells.
